The project “European Learning Partnership for Strawbale Building” was focusing in the years 2009 – 2015 on collecting and comparing the best building practice of straw bale building in European partner countries and developing the structure for a European straw bale building training. Six different techniques were documented and compared and the curriculum of training programme with 10 units was created to correspond to the frame of ECVET (European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training) to encourage future mobility of professionals all over the Europe.
The partners (differed in the 3 projects): Austria – ASBN (Austrian StrawBale Network), Germany – FASBA (Fachverband Strohballenbau Deutschland e.V.), France – RFCP-Les Compaillons, Reseau Francais de la Construction en Paille, Slovakia – ArTUR, Architektura pre Trvalo Udrzatelny Rozvoj, Spain – Red de Construccion en Paja, RCP, United Kingdom – Strawbuild, Netherlands – SBN Strobouw Nederland, Hungary – Magyar Szalmaépitok Egyesülete, and Portugal – Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Cooperativa de Formacao e Animacao Cultural, COFAC.
